Why this recipe works
This version uses dried meat-filled tortellini and is not vegetarian. A shallow dish about 18 × 14 cm helps the sauce heat evenly.
Recipe
Air fryer tortellini spinach bake with creamy tomato sauce and Gouda. Boil dried meat-filled tortellini according to the pack before baking.
Boil tortellini according to the pack, about 12 minutes here. Drain. Wash, dry and roughly chop spinach.
Mix passata, cream, salt and pepper. Add tortellini and spinach in the dish; keep the layer no deeper than 4 cm. Use a heatproof dish suitable for the appliance, leaving space around it for airflow. Do not preheat with loose paper.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 170 °C. Heat about 15 minutes at 170 °C, gently stirring to the bottom partway through. Spinach should wilt and the centre become hot.
Add Gouda and melt another 5 minutes at 180 °C. If the centre is cool, heat longer before adding cheese.
