What matters
Knead only briefly. Unmeasured extra flour can quickly make the soft dough dry.
Air fryer yogurt flatbreads without yeast, made with baking powder and a short dough rest. Shape thin rounds and bake in two batches.
Why this recipe works
Four small flatbreads make two side portions. They are soft breads, not guaranteed hollow pitas. Preparation includes a 10 minute dough rest; bake two side by side at a time.
Recipe
Air fryer yogurt flatbreads without yeast, made with baking powder and a short dough rest. Shape thin rounds and bake in two batches.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add yogurt and 5 g oil and knead briefly into a soft dough. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
With lightly oiled hands divide into four portions. Press into rounds about 10 cm across and 7 mm thick. Spread remaining oil thinly outside.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 180 °C. Bake two flatbreads for about 8 minutes at 180 °C, turning after 4 minutes. Repeat with the second batch. Do not line the basket with loose paper.
Open one flatbread: the centre must be baked, not sticky raw dough. Extend if needed. Let steam escape briefly on a rack.
