Choose evenly thick fillets
A thin piece of tail dries out earlier than a thick piece of back. Choose fillets of similar thickness as possible.
Cover two evenly thick cod fillets with parsley breadcrumbs. A small ovenproof dish holds the crust together and catches the leaking fish juice.
Why this recipe works
The crumbs should form a loose blanket and not a thick dough coat. With soft butter and chopped parsley, they can be spread over the dry fillets. For a uniform cooking two pieces about 2.5 cm thick are useful. The dish yields two fish portions without potatoes or vegetables; the dish must fit with a little distance to the basket walls in the device.
Recipe
A thin butter and breadcrumb crust protects the cod and browns over the juicy, fully cooked fish.
Pat the fillets dry, check for bones and season with salt and pepper. Spread a small flat ovenproof dish with some of the weighed butter.
Mix the remaining soft butter with breadcrumbs and parsley into damp crumbs. If required by the manufacturer, preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes to 180 °C.
Place fillets side by side in the dish and press the crumbs onto them in a thin layer. Cook at 180 °C for about 14 minutes without turning the fillets. The dish must be approved for the device and allow air to circulate around it.
The fish should be completely opaque and can be separated into flakes. Ensure at least 70 °C in the core for 2 minutes; cook longer for thicker pieces. Only then sprinkle lemon juice and serve the two fillets.

A shallow dish leaves the hot air on the crust. A high pot can shield the top and extend cooking time.
