Dry after washing
Water between the florets generates steam. A salad slinging insert or a clean cloth shortens drying.
Equally large florets are covered with a seasoned oil film and cooked in a loose position. Twice turning browns the many irregular surfaces.
Why this recipe works
Cauliflower takes a little longer than broccoli, tolerates strong spices and higher heat. Small roses cook into the drink without drying out at the tips. As a side dish, the basic version is enough; with yoghurt dip and flat bread, it becomes an uncomplicated vegetarian meal.
Recipe
Spicy cauliflowers get golden brown edges in air fryer and remain juicy inside, while peppers, curry and garlic form an aromatic crust.
Divide cauliflower into 3 to 4 cm large florets. Peel the trunk and cut into small cubes. Wash everything and dry very well.
Mix olive oil with peppers, curry powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Mix the reds and the straw cubes in a large bowl carefully with the spice oil. Turn the dry white areas straight down into the bowl.
Preheat air fryer 3 minutes to 190 °C. Fill in cauliflower and cook for 7 minutes.
Shake the basket and cook for another 5 minutes. Turn again and roast for 2 to 4 minutes until the trunk is soft and the edges are golden brown.
Mix cauliflower with lemon juice and parsley. Serve immediately to preserve the roasted edges.
