What matters
Use cooked canned beans, not uncooked dried soybeans.
Air fryer sesame edamame as a warm snack. Dry already cooked canned beans, roast gently and add toasted sesame outside the appliance.
Why this recipe works
Two small shelled snack servings. This uses already cooked drained canned edamame. They stay soft inside, not dry crunchy nuts. Fresh or frozen raw beans need different preparation.
Recipe
Air fryer sesame edamame as a warm snack. Dry already cooked canned beans, roast gently and add toasted sesame outside the appliance.
Drain and rinse canned beans, then dry thoroughly. Remove any pods; weigh only edible beans.
Mix with oil and pepper in a shallow suitable dish. Beans must not fall through basket holes. Reserve salt, sesame and lemon. Use a heatproof dish suitable for the appliance, leaving space around it for airflow. Do not preheat with loose paper.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 170 °C. Heat and lightly roast about 12 minutes at 170 °C, stirring once. Beans should be hot through, not dried rock hard.
Outside appliance mix with already toasted sesame, salt and lemon. This keeps loose seeds out of airflow. Serve warm.
