Cut narrow wedges
Very wide quarters roast faster outside than the thick ribs become soft. Even narrow pieces are easier to control.
Cut one small half of pointed cabbage into four narrow wedges, coat with oil and cook. In the end, a simple garlic and parsley butter melts over the hot leaves.
Why this recipe works
The thin outer leaves can be brown, although the thicker ribs are still firm. Therefore, the wedges are initially cooked at moderate temperature and tested with a fork at the lower base. The 400 g refers to the actually used, cleaned quantity. Four wedges give two vegetable side dishes, not a full main meal.
Recipe
The outer leaves of narrow pointed-cabbage wedges roast while the small section of core holds the layers together. Parsley butter is only finally added.
Cut cabbage lengthwise into four narrow wedges. Remove hard inedible parts, but leave a small tender section of core to hold the leaves together. Gently rub the cleaned 400 g with oil, salt and pepper.
Preheat for 3 minutes to 160 °C if necessary. Put the wedges loosely in the basket and cook for about 16 minutes at 160 °C. Gently turn after 8 minutes; remove loose dry pieces of leaves so that nothing flies up.
Check with a fork at the thicker base. If it is still firm, continue cooking at 160 °C. If it is soft enough, increase it to 180 °C for about 4 minutes and observe the leaf color.
Mix soft butter with parsley and garlic. Spread on the hot cabbage and let it melt outside the appliance. Serve two wedges each as a side dish.

The garlic and butter are not cooked for the whole time. They melt only on the finished cabbage.
