Recipe
Air fryer onion rings with flour, egg and breadcrumbs. Coat large rings individually, brush lightly with oil and bake without stacking.
Slice onions about 1 cm thick and separate large rings. Weigh the required amount. Mix flour with salt and paprika, prepare egg and crumbs separately.
Lightly flour each ring, dip in egg then crumbs. Press coating gently. Brush thinly with oil and shake off loose crumbs.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 180 °C. Bake two batches about 12 minutes each at 180 °C. Place side by side and turn halfway. Egg coating must cook fully and onion be tender. Check that the thickest part reaches at least 70 °C for 2 minutes; continue cooking if needed.
Lift out with tongs and serve promptly. Do not pile hot in a deep bowl or steam softens the crust.
