What matters
Drain tomato juices so tortillas do not become soggy immediately.
Air fryer crispy chicken wraps with breaded strips, lettuce and yogurt mustard sauce. Keep fresh vegetables and sauce separate from raw chicken.
Why this recipe works
Two large tortillas make two filled wraps. Only the breaded chicken cooks in the air fryer. Add lettuce and tomato afterwards without baking them.
Recipe
Air fryer crispy chicken wraps with breaded strips, lettuce and yogurt mustard sauce. Keep fresh vegetables and sauce separate from raw chicken.
Wash and dry lettuce and slice tomato. Mix yogurt, mustard and lemon juice and refrigerate. Set fresh ingredients and sauce aside before handling raw meat.
Cut chicken into strips about 1.5 cm thick and season. Coat lightly in flour, then egg and crumbs. Brush thinly with oil and remove loose crumbs. Do not wash raw poultry. Clean hands and utensils after handling raw meat.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 180 °C. Bake strips spaced in one layer about 15 minutes at 180 °C, turning halfway. Check the thickest part. Allow extra batches in small baskets rather than stacking. Check that the thickest part reaches at least 70 °C for 2 minutes; continue cooking if needed.
Soften tortillas as the pack directs. Fill with sauce, lettuce, tomato and cooked chicken. Fold sides in, roll and cut with a clean knife.
