What matters
A thin even layer chills faster than a tall block of semolina.
Air fryer semolina slices with milk and cinnamon sugar. Cook a firm semolina mixture, chill until sliceable, then cut and bake in two batches.
Why this recipe works
Eight slices make four small desserts. Preparation includes 15 minutes cooling and at least 60 minutes in the refrigerator. Warm semolina cannot be placed in the basket as firm slices.
Recipe
Air fryer semolina slices with milk and cinnamon sugar. Cook a firm semolina mixture, chill until sliceable, then cut and bake in two batches.
Bring milk and 10 g sugar to the boil. Sprinkle in semolina and stir about 3 minutes to a very firm mixture, heating about 5 minutes in total. Stir in 5 g butter.
Spread in a shallow dish about 18 × 12 cm. Let steam off about 15 minutes and refrigerate at least 60 minutes. Cut eight rectangles and brush with remaining 5 g melted butter.
If required by the manufacturer, preheat for 3 minutes at 180 °C. Bake two batches of four about 10 minutes each at 180 °C, spaced apart. Turn gently halfway. Only use firm cold slices; if they slump, chill longer first.
Mix remaining 10 g sugar with cinnamon and lightly coat warm slices. Serve two each as a small dessert without extra compote.
