Chicken tikka masala

Chicken tikka masala combines grilled or spicy fried marinated chicken with a strong tomato spice sauce and some cream or yoghurt.

    Marinating tikka

    Mix chicken with yoghurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, paprika or Kashmiri chilli, garam masala and salt.

    Roast chicken

    Fry the chicken in a pan, oven or grill very hot until it gets roasted flavours. It does not have to be completely cooked.

    Cooking Masala Base

    Fry the onion in ghee or oil, add garlic and ginger. Stir in tomatoes and spices and let it boil down.

    Finishing sauce

    Add the chicken to the sauce and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the cream or yoghurt and season to taste.

    Close

    Serve with coriander and a little lemon juice. Rice or naan are good as a side dish.
