Recipe
Syrniki are small curd pancakes with egg, a little flour and mild sweetness. They are fried in a pan until golden brown and served with sour cream, berries or jam.
Drain the curd in a cloth if necessary. The drier it is, the less flour is needed.
Mix quark, egg, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt briefly. Do not stir too long.
Leave to rest for 10 minutes, then shape into small thalers with floured hands.
Fry in butter or oil over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
